Kenya’s launch of the National e-Mobility Policy on February 3, 2026 highlights the importance of a cleaner, more efficient and sustainable transport future. The policy will support the country’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 32% by the year 2030, emphasizing the transport sector’s critical role in the journey.
The transport sector accounts for approximately 25% of global GHC emissions, and thus the sector’s accelerated adoption of electric vehicle mobility is a top priority. Other benefits will include local manufacturing, job creation, reduced reliance on fossil fuels and enhanced energy security through renewables.
At C&G, we are excited to play our part through enhanced investment in our two and three-wheeler electric vehicles coupled with the necessary charging and swapping infrastructure.
